What's not to love about Five Guys?? There aren't many options on their menu which works in their favor. It allows them to focus on the meat and potatoes of the business. Literally. The burgers are great, and the fries are excellent! I've seen many people complain about the price. I don't understand why. Paying about $9 bucks for a full meal is what you'll do even at most fast food places these days(if you're getting their deluxe combos and such). Also, the quality is far beyond what you'll get at your local fast food restaurants. Fresh ground beef accompanied by fresh toppings(which there are many of) with the french fries treated in the same manner. There's even a sign that tells exactly where the potatoes of the day came from. The service is super fast. This makes Five Guys the ideal lunch spot. It's even good for the occasional inexpensive dinner. The burgers are juicy and adequately messy. The best burgers are the messiest(seems to be a lot of whining surrounding this matter)! They leave the fries in the bottom of the brown bag your food comes in. Do yourself a favor. Leave them in there, pour some malt vinegar in, and shake it around. Delicious! The next time you're thinking of making a fast food stop hit Five Guys instead.

Five Guys is always good! Never had a bad experience at any of their locations! Juicy burgers and a plethora of toppings! The fries are always perfectly salted. Great price for an excellent burger.

Okay this review is more for service because truthfully if I want a good burger, I don't go to Five Guys. My daughter and her friend had never eaten at Five Guys so I decided to take them. The cashier was friendly, took our orders correctly, we received them in a timely manner. The burgers were a-ok, my friend's daughter ordered a hot dog and said it was stellar. The fries, as usual, were my favorite part. Plentiful and tasty!! Hadn't eaten at Five Guys in YEARS and probably won't again for a long time, if ever, but that's just my personal preference and nothing they did wrong!

Placed order. Order was called. They gave me someone else's order despite me confirming the order number. It was so similar to our order that we didn't notice until we had unwrapped everything and were sitting down eating. I informed the manager so they would know and the other order could be redone. We would just keep what we had. Except for the fries being spicy, it was basically the same. The manager appeared irritated. Later, our actual order was called and called. I went back up to the counter not understanding why they made us another order. Manager said it was my fault and I had to take this one too. I replied that I confirmed my order when I picked it up but had been given the wrong order. Simple mistake on their part but it wasn't my mistake. He was clearly angry & had more to say so I picked up our half eaten food and put it all on his counter and told him he could keep our money and his food. My family and I left to the surprise of a pretty large crowd of other families. So much for the customer being right. We won't be back.

The food was great and made fast. The only complaint is the children the manager hired to do all of the work. The girl who took my order was a complete smart ass and overly eager to piss each person of by being overly polite to the point of being annoying. The two boys who were doing the cooking thought that it was funny to point out each "issue" with every customer and laugh with the little girl. There are plenty of grown ups who need jobs... No need to hire little smart assed children.

This was a great experience. First there is parking available. The staff was professional and efficient. I also observed staff going around cleaning while I was there also which is nice. The food was prepared quick and was delicious. I got the cheeseburger and small fries. The burger is perfect with a nice amount of cheese. The fries are delicious as well. I have had five guys before at another location and this location kept the excellence I am used to.

I walked in at 938p and didn't get shunned! I got the same high quality service and burger as I would any other time. They close at ten, the store was clean and I didn't feel out of place being "that person". I was so grateful they were open and willing to feed me so late.

I don't like burgers from restaurants, I don't eat McDonald's or Burger King and I never had a burger that tasted close to mine until five guys. Only place I'll eat a burger.

Consistently great burgers and great service. Conveniently located near Tanger Outlets. I come here occasionally and the burgers are always delicious. Free peanuts while you wait for your order to be cooked fresh.

Everyone raves about this place . . not sure why. A whole bunch of toppings you can put on, but the beef itself was not that large. Fries are a separate purchase. It's definitley overpriced and not a gourmet burger!! I don't care to go to this place again.

The bacon cheeseburger and cajun fries tasted fantastic. I had my food about 4 minutes after ordering and there was no line at 11:30am on a Thursday. While I can appreciate that the juiciness and flavor of the burger is in part due to grease, the mess factor is significant. I found that the relatively thin bun was soaked through and flopping down, making it a little challenging to eat. I also felt that if I put the burger down, I would not be able to pick it back up without causing a small explosion of toppings all over the table. And even though I liked the flavor and consistency of the fries, I was put off by the fact that I had to literally dig through them to pull the burger out of the bag. I believe this is done purposefully, perhaps to be distinctive, but it's annoying. I shouldn't feel the need to eat my way down into the bag to pull out the burger, which is the highlight of the meal. After finishing the burger, which I ate quickly because of a combination of the fear of losing all the toppings and the fact that it tasted great, I moved on to the fries that weren't already consumed during the digging phase of my meal. My hands got VERY messy, VERY quickly. I believe the cajun seasoning is stuck to the fries with a flavorless epoxy that is resistant to napkins. Furthermore, as I write this, I'm feeling like I ate a brick based on how heavily it is sitting in my stomach. I think I need to take a nap after I wash my hands a dozen times. Great taste, friendly service, clean restaurant, but extremely messy and I'll probably be digesting for a fortnight. Finally, I was not mentally transported to the potato field from whence my fries came as one reviewer suggested I might be - if that potato field had some wet naps it would have been a welcome journey.

I do not go here a lot but if you are on a kick for a really bad for you; taste amazing burger then this is the place. I always feel like I need to go for a run after but boy are they good burger and fries for a fast food chain place.

This is my favorite Five Guys location in the North/Charleston area. The crew was very friendly and the service is always excellent.

I'm a huge fan (and I mean huge) of paying $9 for a burger and fries and waiting a short amount of time. While people may complain about the price that they are paying at Five Guys (~5 for a burger- and no charge for toppings save bacon! and ~2.50 for fries), it is completely justified. First, you are not getting any ordinary cheeseburger, you are getting a cheeseburger that was expertly crafted with fresh ground beef. There are no processed beef ingredients, no fillers and as a result you are going to have to pay for that. Moreover, fries may be more expensive than you would pay at a normal fast food chain, but then again, do you actually see bags of whole, fresh potatoes lying around McDonalds, Burger King, etc.? Nope! And again, that brings an added cost. Plus what I like is that after giving you your serving of fries, they pile more fries in the bag giving that trademarked Five Guys greasy brown bag. As previously mentioned, burgers are excellent. Fresh, tender, juicy. Always good. The bread is fresh too. I have yet to have a bad experience with the bread being dry. The fries are also excellent. You can literally taste the freshness. When you bite down into the fries you are instantly transported to the potato farm where they were sourced. And in your vision if you are ever confused where you are, Five Guys has signage where the potatoes are sourced from for that day. I recommend getting the cajun fries. No upcharge for cajuning them either. They are good (but gosh they are messy!). Five Guys is a must go. If you have never been there, you have never truly lived!

After watching the Dayum Dayum Dayum video I couldn't help but return to Five guys. This time I tried the Cajun flavored fries and the Bacon Cheeseburger. The food is delicious! The fries bit back and the burger blended so perfectly. I still feel the same about getting too many fries and that the price is too high but delicious food nonetheless!

Very good burgers and fries- no comparison to the garbage sold at fast food chains. Burgers have no fillers, and the fries are freshly hand cut . We usually stay away from fast food chains, but this one is great.

These are the burgers and fries that most chains aspire to be. The limited menu at Five Guys means they can concentrate on getting it right and they have. This is a chain so I am assuming that they are all more or less the same. The burger and fries are everything a burger should be and the fries are copious and appear hand cut. It looks like the fries are cut on site. If not, the bags of potatoes lying around are effective props. There are no options as to how you want the burger cooked. It is well done, but remains juicy. The ingredients seem to be top notch and the toppings are exactly what they should be and are included it the cost. The burger would be high end pricing at McDonald's or the other chains, but the others really can't compete with these for burgers and fries. These are in a whole 'nuther league. There is take out at this location, but no drive through. There is seating. The bathrooms are clean and the staff checks them. Free peanuts abound while you wait for the staff to cook your order. It is all cooked to order so you get a number and wait while it happens. It's sort of semi-fast food.
